Accessibility on our website

Website accessibility statement

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act, as amended, implementing the European Accessibility Directive (EU) RL 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements of products and services. This accessibility statement applies to www.timmelseck.com.

Current status of compliance with requirements

Due to the following incompatibilities and/or exceptions, our website is partially compliant with conformity level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.2’ and the applicable European standard EN 301 549.

Non-accessible content on this website

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a)    Incompatibility with accessibility regulations

1.1.1 - This success criterion is not currently fully met because the website contains a large number of images that still lack alternative descriptions. We are continuously working to add these captions.
1.3.1 - Some visually highlighted text areas are not programmatically marked as headings. The heading structure is being optimised step by step.
1.3.3 - Individual links or buttons are distinguished solely by colour, which means that the success criterion is not met.
1.4.3 - Some texts and graphic elements do not meet the required contrast ratios. Optimisation is planned.
1.4.13 - Some navigation content only appears on hover, but is not accessible via keyboard.
2.1.1 - The main navigation blocks focus when using the keyboard. Other elements such as buttons or accordions are also not always operable via keyboard.2.2.2 - Some elements do not have controls for pausing or stopping (sliders, carousels, automatically updating elements, etc.).
2.4.1 - Skip links for skipping recurring content are not available.
2.4.3 - The order of keyboard navigation is sometimes illogical or gets lost when elements are closed.
2.4.4 - Some links and buttons are not sufficiently described and therefore cannot be clearly identified by screen readers.
2.4.7 - The focus indicator for keyboard navigation is not consistently visible.
2.4.11 - The focus disappears when menus or controls such as accordions are not open.
2.5.3 - Visible labels for controls that are reflected in the accessible name are sometimes missing.

b)    Disproportionate burden

1.2.1 - Videos are linked externally (pop-up). Transcriptions or content descriptions are currently not available for some of these videos.
1.2.2 - Some videos do not have subtitles, which means that important content is not accessible to deaf users. The success criterion is therefore not met.
1.2.3 - Audio descriptions are currently not available for certain videos.
1.2.4 - Live videos are integrated via third-party providers. Subtitles are not available in all cases. In addition, live videos are exempt under Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
1.2.5 - Audio descriptions are not available for some embedded videos. Due to the disproportionate effort involved, no improvements are currently planned.
3.3.1 - Incorrect entries are not clearly identified or described as such.(Easybooking)
3.3.2 - Form elements are not consistently labelled or explained.(Easybooking)
3.3.3 - No specific instructions are provided for correcting errors.(Easybooking)
3.3.4 - Important data entries cannot be checked or undone before submission.3.3.7 - Users sometimes have to enter the same information multiple times.(Easybooking)
3.3.8 - Forms contain CAPTCHA queries that are not accessible.(Easybooking)
4.1.2 - Not all buttons or interactive elements convey their state (e.g. expanded or selected) programmatically correctly.(Easybooking)
4.1.3 - Changes such as progress indicators or errors are not automatically communicated to assistive technologies.(Easybooking)

We believe that rectifying this would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

c)    The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation

Older documents and content that are not accessible are available on the website. As these were published before 28 June 2025, they are exempt from the Accessibility Act and no comprehensive changes are currently planned for them.

The website contains documents and content from third-party providers that are neither developed, financed nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with the accessibility regulations, and it is therefore also exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act.

Accessibility statement

This statement was first created on 24 September 2025 and is continuously being developed with maintenance processes, technical adjustments and content maintenance. The technical and content assessment of compliance with EU law was carried out in the form of a check in accordance with the AA guidelines of WCAG 2.2.

Our website is continuously maintained and developed. Usability and accessibility are therefore important to us. However, if you encounter any barriers on our website that hinder or restrict your use, please let us know at the following email address: info@timmelseck.com.
