The region of Obergurgl offers sports-conscious guests 12 km of cross country tracks in perfect conditions, where you can enjoy the nordic winter sport.

    • High altitude trail Pill / Angern / Poschach
      Length: 7 km | Difficulty: medium
      Start 100m from the Pension Timmelseck. Level course along the Ötztaler Ache past the Hotel Jagdhof to the Hochgurgl cable car car park on the return path easy to moderately difficult ascent across the Isse meadows to the districts of Alt-Poschach and Königsrain.
    • Hochgurgl practice trail
      Length: 2 km | Difficulty: easyAs the highest cross-country ski trail in the entire Ötztal, the Hochgurgl high-altitude trail runs through alpine ambience. At an altitude of 2,150 m above sea level, the circular course, which is situated on a terrain balcony, faces south towards the Königstal valley. For the runners, this means lots of afternoon sun and plenty of good visibility, as it is above the tree line. A steep drop on the opposite side of the valley adds to the high-altitude feeling. The start of the high-altitude trail is at the Hochgurglbahn I mountain station, or at the mountain chapel, from where it runs gently up and down. Part of the trail is illuminated in the evening.
